Charity Donations to
Alzheimer Scotland
£1010 raised
The Club was delighted to welcome Alzheimer Scotland to the Club on Wednesday 25th October and to present the Charity with cheques to the value of £1010.
Alzheimer Scotland is President Colin Simpson’s chosen Charity this year and money was raised by our bowlers at various events
The Gents
held a ‘Darts-Carpet Bowls-Snooker-Dominoes’ competition with friends from Chryston and Bellshill & Mossend clubs raising £360.
The Ladies
donated their weekly winnings and a ‘guess the birthday’ doll, raising £200.
The Senior Gents & Ladies
raised £450 at September’s holiday game.
President Colin
thanked everyone for their efforts, and added that Dementia affected almost every family in some way. He confirmed that we had taken the first steps to make the club more ‘dementia friendly’ and more will follow.
